Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Hearth & Charter™ website, the 9 Sovereign Lives Score, and related guides, kits, membership and content (together, the "Services"). The Services are provided by In Place Impact, LLC ("In Place Impact", "we", "us"), a South Carolina limited liability company with its place of business in Charleston, SC. Hearth & Charter is offered "by SovereignOS™". By using the Services you agree to these Terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.

US residents only. The Services are currently offered to people living in the United States. Other countries come later as SovereignOS expands.

1. Educational only: no legal, tax or financial advice

The Services, including the 9 Sovereign Lives Score, your report, the Charter template, guides, kits, checklists and any automated assistant, provide general educational information only. They are not legal, tax, financial, investment, insurance, medical or other professional advice, and using them does not create an attorney-client, fiduciary or advisory relationship with anyone.

Your score and report are based only on your own answers and a simple scoring method. They are a starting point for reflection, not an assessment of your actual legal, financial or security position. A layer shown as "secured" reflects your answers only; it is not a guarantee that anything is safe.

The Sovereign Charter template is a statement of values and intentions. It is not a legal document. Anything with legal effect (for example wills, trusts, powers of attorney, operating agreements or bylaws) should be prepared by a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction.

We make no promises about protecting your money, privacy, identity or assets, and no recommendations about specific investments, currencies, financial products or institutions.

Always consult a licensed professional before acting on anything you learn through the Services.

2. Adults only

The Services are intended for adults 18 years of age or older. The 9 Sovereign Lives Score asks you to confirm you're 18 or older before your results are saved or an account is created. By using the Services you confirm that you are at least 18. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and the Services are not directed to children under 13. If you believe a minor has given us information, contact us at sovereignlives@sovereignos.world or through our contact form and we will delete it.

3. Your account and your answers

Give accurate contact details so we can deliver your report. Keep any login details secure.

You own your answers. You give us a limited license to use them only to produce your score and report and to provide the Services, as described in the Privacy Policy.

You can ask us to delete your data at any time (see the Privacy Policy, "How to delete your data").

4. Paid products and payments

Some Services are paid: the Hearth & Charter Family Membership ($99 a year, paid up front); extra done-for-you fixes for members ($49 each, when offered); and, for businesses, Business: Single Layer Fix ($449 per layer) and Business: All 9 Layers Bundle ($3,790, including 12 months of Care (ongoing check-ins; Care does not renew automatically)). Prices are shown before you buy. Prices in US dollars. No sales tax is charged.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card details. Stripe's own terms and privacy policy apply to payment processing.

Automatic renewal. The Hearth & Charter Family Membership renews automatically every year at the then-current price (now $99 a year), charged to the payment method you used, until you cancel. We will email you a reminder 15 to 45 days before each renewal stating the price, the renewal date and how to cancel. If the price changes, we will tell you at least 30 days before the renewal it applies to.

How to cancel. Cancel any time online using the 'Manage membership' link in your account or in any membership email, or by emailing sovereignlives@sovereignos.world with the subject 'Cancel membership'. You don't need to call anyone. Cancellation stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the year you've paid for, and we confirm the cancellation by email.

Fair use: Family membership includes one done-for-you fix per quarter. A fix is one item from our fix menu; bigger jobs are split into guided steps or extra fixes. Included fixes don't roll over or carry into the next membership year. Guided DIY help is limited to 2 sessions per quarter, support is provided under fair use, and the Deep Assessment is included once per membership year. A household is up to 2 adults and their children under 18 at one address.

Refunds. If you're not satisfied, email sovereignlives@sovereignos.world within 7 days of joining or of an annual renewal for a full refund of that year's membership fee. A full refund ends the membership on the date of the refund. Extra done-for-you fixes ($49) and business packages can be refunded in full before work starts. After work starts, we refund the part not yet delivered. Refunds go back to the original payment method.

5. Third-party providers and partners

We may list or link to independent providers (for example attorneys, privacy tools, community banks or credit unions). Listed providers meet our basic listing criteria. They are independent of us. Any service you buy from them is between you and them, paid by you directly. A listing is not an endorsement or a guarantee, and we are not responsible for their advice or services.

6. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the Services: no unlawful use, scraping, reverse engineering, interfering with security, impersonating others, or reselling our content without permission.

7. Volunteered Data

Hearth & Charter has no control of your right to share your likeness, name, images, content, and/or data with any on or offline entity. If you voluntarily share your assets, Hearth & Charter is not liable for how they are used, whether to your benefit or not.

8. No Assumption of Liability

Hearth & Charter can only act upon the information and data you provide. It cannot assume that you have other assets exposed to or owned by second or third party entities, nor will it assume any liability for how those assets are used, whether to your benefit or not.

9. Intellectual property

Hearth & Charter, The 9 Sovereign Lives Score, the nine-layer framework (from The Sovereign Hearth to The Sovereign Charter), and all content, graphics and materials in the Services are the intellectual property of In Place Impact, LLC and are protected by law. SovereignOS™ is a trademark of In Place Impact, LLC. You may use materials you buy for your own personal, family or internal business use only. You may share your own headline result (for example "I have 6 of 9 sovereign lives secured").

10. Disclaimers

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, In Place Impact will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for decisions you make based on the Services. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US $100 if you paid nothing.

12. Changes and termination

We may update the Services or these Terms. If we make material changes we will post the new version with a new date and, where appropriate, notify you by email. We may suspend access for misuse. You can stop using the Services at any time.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Charleston County, South Carolina.
